Montserrat is an island in the Caribbean that has tropical weather. The restaurant is located in Woodland Bay, one of the beautiful bay in Montserrat.
The aim is to make a comfortable and relaxing environment for customers working on their works or simply enjoy their vacation in Montserrat. The orientation of the restaurant is Westside. Taking advantage of that opportunity, opened space will allow the customers
to see fully the sunset on the beach, one of the beautiful moments. Besides, open space will allow natural light and wind to easily access the whole space of the restaurant. Inspiriting by the beauty of the sunset of Montserrat. The restaurant is located by the Woodland beach, which is easy to catch the sunset. Therefore, sunset will be a consistent concept and colour scheme as well for this design.
Due to the humid and hot climate, the tropical concept is all
about achieving thermal comfort. The major elements are sunshades,
wood, concrete, wall insulation and even shading from
large trees to block the sun.
